SEIKO 5-The meaning of "5&quot
had an idea in the 70's: To become SEIKO 5, a watch needs the following five attributes (hence SEIKO 5)

Automatic, 2. Waterproof

3. Impact resistance

4. Date, 5

Please note that some of SEIKO 5 today is actually of SEIKO 4

If you omit the "Day&quot
function, Caliber 7S25 will be used

The only difference with the 7S26 usually found is the omission of the sun ring

Also, SEIKO 5 Sports reissues often use the 7S36 caliber

Again the 7S36 is similar to the most popular 7S26, but with 23 gems as opposed to the 21 gems on the 7S26

Please note that all of these movements beat at a rate of 21 feet 600 bph (beats per hour) or 6 bps (beats per second)

As a comparison, the ETA 2824-2 beats at 28800bph or 8bps

Miyota 82xx beat at 21 feet 600 bph
