This is a plastic model that requires assembly and painting. Separate tools, paints, etc. are required.
1/72 scale plastic model. The F-104 was developed as a supersonic air superiority fighter. The F-104 was a small, lightweight aircraft equipped with a large thrust engine and a maximum speed of Mach 2, and was said to be the last manned fighter at the time. However, the US Air Force's policy changed and only a small number of F-104s were deployed because they were too small to be equipped with a data link. However, the F-104G, which had a completely new electronic system, especially the fire control system, and a larger vertical tail and rudder, was jointly produced in Europe, as well as by Lockheed and Canadair, and was used in NATO countries. The F-104S, developed at the request of the Italian Air Force, was equipped with a J79-GE-19 engine with a thrust of 5,380 kg (8,120 kg when using A/B), made it possible to equip it with an AIM-7 Sparrow, and changed the radar to the R-21G to improve all-weather interception capabilities, while also providing nine hard points to increase the amount of external weapons carried and strengthening ground attack capabilities. The F-104J and the two-seater F-104DJ used by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force were returned to the United States in 1985 and later donated to Taiwan. (From Amazon.co.jp)
