This lens features our unique, high-performance, multi-layer "HD Coating" for enhanced imaging performance. Compared to conventional multi-layer coatings, it offers lower reflections and higher transmittance, reducing ghosting and flare even in challenging lighting conditions, such as backlight, for clearer images.
A circular aperture for beautiful bokeh. The new circular aperture suppresses the appearance of streaks of light when photographing point light sources, enhancing the imaging performance unique to this limited-edition lens and producing more natural and beautiful bokeh.
Following the design concept of the Limited Lens series, which is particular about depiction and texture, the lens is designed not only based on numerical evaluations using test equipment, but also on repeated evaluations of image quality using actual images, which are then fed back into the design to pursue the "flavor of the lens." It has also been optimized for digital imaging, ensuring sharp, high-contrast, clear images even at wide open apertures.
