[Product introduction]
Finemolds 1/48 Imperial Navy carrier fighter aircraft trial production Reppu. As the name suggests, requirements for the 17th prototype carrier-based fighter (later named Prototype Reppu), which was planned as a successor to the Zero Fighter, were submitted by the Navy in 1944. The design was difficult due to the excessive performance requirements and there was no room to choose the engine, and the first prototype was not completed until April 1945 due to the busy production and modification of the current Zero Fighter and Raiden. . Although its maneuverability and flight stability were highly praised during its first flight, its speed and climbing performance were far from meeting requirements due to the lack of engine power, and improvements continued until the end of the war. A prototype machine with a total length of 228 mm, a total width of 291 mm, and approximately 80 parts when completed, equipped with an honor engine and a forced cooling fan. We paid particular attention to the angle of the minus screw mold under the main wing. Includes statue figures of the pilot, mechanic, and officer sitting in the cockpit.
