1/12 An essential piece for the GP racer lineup! T14121HNSR Released in December 2012
[Product Introduction]
TAMIYA 1/12 Motorcycle Series No.121 Honda NSR500’84. 1/12 An indispensable machine for the GP racer lineup! A historic machine that took on the challenge of a new era. A unique body layout. A complete reproduction of the first-generation NSR500! In 1983, Honda introduced the 2-stroke V-type 3-cylinder NS500, the first low-speed model since 1967. Although it won the Daw Racing World Championship title, it was clear that the three-cylinder engine was no longer powerful enough. Therefore, the NSR was introduced the following year, equipped with a single-crank V-type 4-cylinder engine. The V4 engine was mounted on an aluminum frame, which later evolved into a twin spar frame, and an ambitious structure was adopted, with the chamber placed above the engine and the fuel tank placed below, making it an upside-down layout. A unique machine that embodies Honda's challenging spirit is finally available in the 1/12 motorcycle series. Main features Overall length: 166mm, overall width: 52mm. -Reproduces the earlier model that won the 1984 Italian GP -Reproduces the unique body structure with a chamber above the engine and a fuel tank below -Reproduces the actual car exactly as it is -Aluminum frame and complex-shaped fuel tank are also precisely modeled -Fuel pipe The wiring for the accelerator, clutch, brake, etc. is made of vinyl pipe. The cowling is a chamber cover, and the seat cowl is attached with tiny screws and can be removed even after completion. The four chambers emphasize ease of assembly. Two pieces can be securely attached to the frame with screws as a set.The fuel tank installed under the engine has a complex shape that follows the shape of the bottom of the engine and is reproduced exactly as it is on the actual vehicle.Prolink rear suspension uses metal springs. The swing arm with an added truss structure is also distinctive. It has a well-balanced form that makes it hard to believe that it has adopted an innovative layout. The upper cowl, seat cowl, and under cowl can be removed even after completion. The exhaust chamber is above the engine, and below it. The original layout of the fuel tank can be carefully observed. The seat cowl that houses the four silencers has a sharp finish. The four exhaust chambers, which are housed in the original position of the fuel tank, are impressive.Honda's first 2-stroke, single-axis crank Precise reproduction of a V4 engine A complex-shaped fuel tank that avoids the engine. Package image that can be removed even after completion with screws
