Lost dreams link together across time! The "Missing Link" series, a virtual reprint of what might have existed in that era, has been launched to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the birth of Transformers! Imagine what would have happened if the original Convoy had been fully posable, and this toy has been commercialized with a completely new design while retaining the size, texture, and nostalgia of the time! While the size, transformation pattern, and basic structure, which uses some die-cast alloy, follow the original Convoy toy, the joints can be moved for posing, and the gimmicks depicted in the anime have been updated to create a toy of the ideal Convoy commander.
The packaging and accessories are all carefully crafted to pay homage to the original, and the excitement of opening a Transformers product in the 80s is brought back even more than with the reissue version.
The original product was lacking in the ability to replace the fists when transforming, but this time the fists can now be stored inside without needing to be removed for complete transformation.
In addition, the joints, which were previously limited in terms of posing, have now been made movable, allowing for more flexible posing.
The matrix can be stored in the chest, recreating the scene from the anime.
The newly designed fist has movable fingers so you can remove the matrix and hold it in your hand.
The anti-aircraft gun in the container can be separated from the container and rolled around, just like in the anime.
The reconnaissance buggy's "Roller" rear part can be flipped over to reveal cartoon-style warning lights.
The grip of the laser rifle has been changed to fit into the fist.
The "Energy Axe", a memorable weapon seen in the anime's opening scene, is also included and can be attached to the fist.
In addition, a red transparent "secret film" is included, and the fun of being able to decipher it by placing it over the spec chart printed on the back of the package is back.
The robot also comes with the familiar "secret emblem" attached to it, and when you warm it up with your finger, the legion mark appears.
The robot body was a three-dimensional sculpture of the mechanism, which was previously depicted as a flat sticker.
A joint hole for a separately sold stand has been added to the back of the convoy, allowing it to be displayed in action poses.
Two new user stickers have been added, allowing you to recreate the original Japanese and overseas box art, and a newly designed collection card is also included.
