The Tormekian armored soldier from "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" is turned into a 3D figure by Takeya's free-standing figurine!
"Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" is a masterpiece that was drawn by Hayao Miyazaki as the original manga and was later turned into a film which had a major impact on the history of animation.

The armored soldier who accompanied Kushana the commander of the Tormekian army as a guard when the army suddenly attacked the Valley of the Wind where Nausicaa lives and who symbolized the strength of the Tormekians with his sturdy build has been made into an action figure as part of the Takeya Style Free-standing Figurine.

Takayuki Takeya redesigned this heavy armor which has a design reminiscent of Western armor but is made of ceramic.

By incorporating not only the settings from the animation but also ideas and designs from the original comics the suit has been given the realism of a real suit of armor.

By adding decorative details and geometrical expressions to each part it exudes dignity befitting that of a soldier wearing the Imperial Guard.

The proportions of the Tormekian armored soldiers which are characteristically slightly stocky but also have the strength to repel enemy attacks have been recreated.

It also has great action potential and by cleverly dividing the connections of the multi-layered armor and positioning the joints it is possible to pose it swinging the sword or axe as seen in the movie.

In addition to the large sword stabbed in his side a battle axe and a large shield are also included allowing you to recreate various battle scenes from the animation and original work.

The armor's coloring is expressed with metallic paint.

It gives off a sense of solidity as heavy armor.

The plates on the shoulders and around the neck are also equipped with movable axes allowing for unrestricted posing.

The details such as the fasteners for fastening the armor and the gambeson (protective jacket) worn underneath are also reproduced.

The pouches are arranged in a practical shape and the belt for hanging the large sword is reproduced with details that appear in the original comics.

The chain mail wrapped around the waist can be divided and moved allowing the legs to be spread wider than they appear.

The kusazuri which is located at the front of the waist also has a movable axis at its base.

The cape is a fixed type that prioritizes shape expression but it can also be moved at the base allowing for more dramatic poses.

The handles of the axe and sword feature shapes and details that can be seen in the original comics.

The tip of the axe and other parts are designed to give an idea of how they were made.

The large shield also recreates the pop-out claw-like gimmick that appeared on the tip of the shield in the original comics.
