The third-generation Cima, the Y33, was released in June 1996 as a full model change from the previous Y32 series.
It was a complete departure from the previous model's modest design with a more substantial design, and was available with two engines: the VH41DE and the VQ30DET V6 DOHC 2987cc turbo.
