This is the first 1/72 scale model!
This is a precision model similar to the Type 99 Self-Propelled 155mm Howitzer and Type 87 Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun.
This is the first 1/72 scale model of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's first IFV, the Type 89 FV, which was capable of tank-following and riding combat.
This is an unpainted kit that requires assembly and painting.

Although it is a 1/72 scale model, the surface reproduction and detailed modeling are as detailed as a 1/35 scale model.
The Type 89 Armored Fighting Vehicle was the first infantry fighting vehicle of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and was officially adopted in 1989.

Its performance is comparable to that of other IFVs of the same era, and it has the driving ability to accompany the Type 90 tank, which was developed at the same time.
Its main gun is a 35mm machine gun, and it is equipped with Type 79 anti-boat anti-tank guided missiles (heavy MAT) on the side of the turret.

They are deployed mainly to the 11th Infantry Regiment under the 7th Division in Hokkaido, and to the Infantry Training Regiment in Honshu.
