The completed new model is comprised of an "early model," a rotorcraft type with its power source replaced by HexaG-A-R-A-M, similar to the first generation, and a "late model" that has been given a system conversion mechanism to turn it into a humanoid form.
Although the two models are very similar in appearance, their characteristics are very different.

The early model had no major distinguishing features other than being an aircraft that was already disappearing from the world at the time, but it boasted high reliability and ground attack capabilities thanks to its abundant armament options, including two 20mm Gatling guns as standard equipment.

However, the production cost of the unit was as high as that of several Bulkarm Alphas, and it must be said that it was clearly a high-cost unit even when compared to the entire second-generation Hexa Gear.

In terms of operation, the delicate maintenance of the aircraft and frequent ammunition replenishment required were naturally beyond the capabilities of the on-board governor, and it goes without saying that the presence of various ground support units with advanced skills was essential.

Furthermore, to fully utilize its flight performance, a considerable number of Hexa G-R-A-Ms are required just to power the main rotors, which is more than ten times that of other second-generation Hexa Gears.

This is the price to pay for the specifications that allow for the air transport of heavy supplies and even Hexa Gear, but it is particularly noticeable in the later models, which have an increased weight due to their transformation mechanism, so as a result of prioritizing overall cost, there are also units that choose to operate the earlier models.

The effectiveness of deploying Steel Rain troops to the front lines was consistently high, and even in later years it was considered that the results were well worth the cost.
However, it was not easy for MSG, which boasted huge capital at the time, to continue to respond to this large resource burden.
