It is said that red lanterns originated in the Edo period, when bars painted their originally white lanterns red to attract customers.

Eventually, this became commonplace, and it evolved into a uniquely Japanese cultural phenomenon, symbolizing places where people could easily enjoy drinks and meals after work, bringing warmth and vitality to their hearts.

This time, we've infused that warmth into the G-SHOCK as a Made in Japan model.

With the red of a paper lantern as the base color, this unique design features the G-SHOCK's most distinctive feature, "shock-resistant", printed in a characteristic font from the bezel to the band.

With its backlight, buttons, and strap loop inspired by the colors of the handle, this G-SHOCK incorporates many of the distinctive features of a red lantern.

The case back is also engraved with a lantern motif, and the packaging features a bold design of a red lantern glowing in the dark, making it a truly special edition.
