The British clipper ship 'Cutty Sark' is part of the 1/350 Sailing Ship Series, which models famous sailing ships from around the world at an affordable price and in a size that is easy to collect.
The Cutty Sark was a teak clipper launched in Dumbardon, England in 1869.It was a typical high-speed ship with a length six times its width and a gross tonnage of 963 tons.
It boasted a speed of over 17 knots.
At the time, wood was scarce, so it was a mixed wood and iron ship with an iron frame and a teak plank hull.
It is still preserved in Greenwich as the only remaining clipper ship.
