I use this with my A7 II and it's a great solution to using Canon EF lenses on a Sony FF body. It adds about an inch to the overall length of the EDF lens.I use it with a 16-35mm 2.8 L, 50mm 1.8 & 85 1.8. The Sony equivalents are either too expensive and/or not as good. OK they're smaller & lighter in many cases but the EF lenses are a proven commodity, plentiful, sharp & well-priced.All lenses I've used with the MC11 auto-focus very quickly, AE works perfectly & all EXIF data is included with the file. I very highly recommend this adapter.

Bought to use with a "red-dot" sigma 50mm 1.8 and a Sony a7r III. While the lens will attach, only manual focus is possible and the adapter seems to cause my camera to randomly freeze. Cannot control the fstop either, so it works as a physical link, but nothing else. The random freezing doesn't occur with the Sony FE lens I bought with the camera. It's usable, so I give it a 2 star rating. If the auto focus worked at all, even slowly as others stated along with the fstop, I would have given it 4 stars.. Can''t give it 5 stars even with the focus working since it causes my camera to freeze and have to be reset by removing the lens and battery.FYI - Does not fit any white-dot crop sensor lenses, only the dual purpose red dot lenses.

Great option for allowing the outstanding Tamron 70-200 G2 Canon version adapt to a Sony e-mount system. One of my favorite lenses is the 70-200 and I picked up the 70-200+MC-11 for just over eleven hundred dollars. Mounted on my a7iii it focuses quickly and accurately including Eye-Focus. The four stars is because it does not track in video. I knew this beforehand and it works for me because I seldom use the 70-200 for video. For video it requires manual focus. Overall a great alternative to the Sony 70-200 G-Master.

This works as described. I have a Sony A6500 and I have previously purchased a Fotodiox adapter, and that only worked on one of my lenses. After I returned that one I was deciding between the Sigma MC11 and Metabones. At $150 cheaper I decided to give Sigma a try first. The Sigma MC11 work for all my Canon branded lenses, including:EF85/1.8EF35/1.4EF70-200/4EF24-70/2.8and they all focuses very fast in both AF-S and AF-C modes.However, it doesn't work with my old Tamron 17-35/2.8-4 and nor does it work well with my old NEX5N, which did focus with Canon lens but very very slowly.Update 2017 Aug 17:Recently I have been using the adapter on my EF85/1.8 for some indoor sports on very dim venue. Probably one of the toughest condition for AF systems. (typical setting is f/2, 1/500, ISO8000) and the focusing speed and accuracy was excellent. I have not had a new Canon body for 10 yrs (had a 1Dmk3 before) and I now appreciate the advancement in AF technology in the past 10 yrs.

Because I do not have a Sony native lens.Tested indoors late at night and taken at maximum aperture.

Works as expected. I bought MC-11 to use with sigma art 24-105 f4 lens which didn't work very well with the commlite adapter. AF is decent enough even indoors to be useable. Eye AF works.

I am using it with the A7iii and a variety of mostly older Canon glass including Canon, Tamron and Sgma. Works best with the 24-105 Sigma I just bought, but all other glass also work fine, to varying degrees. My 70-200 2.8, actually performs better on this than my Canon. What you give up are some of the focusing modes, nut the ability to focus and do face and eye tracking in the basic focus mode. Highly recommended
