Much smaller than I pictured it to be, but it's still a cool kit. I built it with a friend's six year old son. He had a blast. Then I gave it to him. I was hoping to add an Arduino and some code to it, but it's not a good fit for that. It is, however, quite well engineered for a snap-together kit.

Neat kit. Got it to make a 2-motor robot chassis. Note that Tamiya make two different size dual motor gearboxes. Only the #70097 TWIN motor gearbox fits this Arm Crawler. The #70168 DOUBLE gearbox won't work. Mounting holes too wide and the output shaft is in wrong location.

Target age: 10 years old and over Style: A work set equipped with 4 crawlers to easily overcome obstacles. The arm coroller that extends forward from the main body freely changes the angle according to the slope, and runs through a step of about 45 mm higher than the main body. The motor and switch are already wired. Easy to assemble with just fitting, screwing, and simple wiring. The power supply uses one AA battery (sold separately). (From Discovery Japan Mall)
