Rugged yet beautiful watch. As expected, per advertisement, the watch is authentic made in Japan with precise inscription “JAPAN GE batch number 221D009J, serial number A1CD7F”, ordered December 11, 2020, arrived at Cebu, Philippines December 15 (very fast delivery by DHL), finally received January 4, 2021. Literature is Japanese. Very happy to own a very expensive one, ever since. Japanese technology and craftsmanship are excellent...the best in the world!

The Mudmaster series of G-Shocks are a fantastic bombproof timepiece for people who know and appreciate watches.At 56.5 millimeters it’s not a watch for a slender wrist but if you can pull off a larger watch, it looks great.I love the solar charging; the battery meter reads L-M-H depending on the charge. Out of the box, mine was charged to M, it took a day of wearing outside on a sunny day to get it to a full charge. The battery reserve is amazing, I had it in a draw for 3 weeks and it still had almost a full charge.Depending on where in the US you live you might have a tough time getting the time from the atomic clock but on the east coast, I’m able to leave the watch on my windowsill at night and sometime between midnight and 3:00 AM it will receive the signal.The Altimeter, Barometer, and Compass are very accurate and have had no issues with calibration. The manual that comes with it is Japanese but just download the English version from Casio website. The instructions can be a little overwhelming but YouTube has some good getting started videos, the rest is pretty easy to get used to.The drawbacks to the watch are:Lacking a storm alarm, other watches at a lower price point have this feature that will measure the barometric pressure drop and let you a storm is likely.The backlight is near useless. The light barely illuminates the watch and doesn’t illuminate the digital display enough. In addition, if you are switching modes the light shuts off immediately which doesn’t make a lot of sense.

What an incredible outdoor / military watch ! Not only does this watch beat the competition on design, but also with practical functions. There is a learning curve with this watch, so reading the manual and seeing 1 or 2 in-depth YouTube videos is a must. However, there is an easy-to-follow logic behind the many, many functions and after two days with the watch I’m already familiar with all of it. As many others have said, this is a BIG watch, and I have to admit that I first bought a 15 dollar copy of it to see if it was too much. It wasn’t and I went ahead and bought the original. Also I found a company selling spare parts and bought a black strap. The watch looks so much better with the black strap than the green one. Now, Casio sells this very model as well with a black strap, however, the watch face is subdued and the colors are golden. I think that this models high visibility white numbers and 5-min markers are the most easy to read and visually pleasing as well. But.... with a black strap ! Well, everyone has his own taste, and the watch looks great with the green strap as well, I just wanted something a little more descreet and not so military looking. Conclusion: if you are looking for a tough multifunction watch that also looks the part, I doubt that at this moment are better options than this astounding watch. Everything is solid as a rock, materials are top-notch and the feeling on the wrist is really perfect in spite of the chunky size of the watch. It is rather expensive for a G-shock, but once you get it you also understand where that extra money went.

Wanted a watch that does it all. This is the one. Top of the line G-shock with solar, atomic clock accuracy and all the bells and whistles. Compass, thermometer, barometer, altimeter and a bunch of others. The only watch that lasts on my wrist is a G-shock and this one is dust, mudproof and shockproof. A little pricey and I thought it would be a little too big but it is not. Very comfortable and easy to read. This is the best G-Shock for a reason, now press the buy button and put it on your wrist, you won't be sorry.

This watch is insanely awesome. The features are great, the feel on my wrist is great, and the build is rock-solid. I have worn this watch for a little over a month now and continue to love it. I have a small wrist - 7.5 inches in diameter at its smallest, but I love big cool watches like this one, and it doesn't overwhelm my wrist because it's proportioned well. You will love this watch!

I have a couple of other G-Shocks but, clearly, this watch is the most well made of them all. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I find myself just looking at it and admiring the looks of it. I own a Rangeman GW9400; they both share similar features. Obviously the big one has the analogue time. The Mudmaster is heavier than the Rangeman. The actual bezel that holds the movement is plastic on the Rangeman where as the Mudmaster is stainless. This is probably the reason for the weight difference. I like that the hands stay illuminated all night without having to press the light button. The watch is rather large but since I am a big guy it doesn't bother me. I have to say that this watch exceeds my expectations. This is a watch movement that will last a lifetime but I do expect to replace the resin band and resin protective bezel every few years since I plan on wearing this daily.

I bought the Japan import GWG 1000 1a3jf. I wanted an original, authentic CASIO G Shock mudmaster from Japan, NOT made in China. It was delivered promptly ahead of schedule in it s handsome jewel box packed securely in a shipping box and hand delivered to my house by USPS. Great service from Last Samurai!! This watch is awesome and IMO the best G Shock. It's big, but not heavy. It's rugged, but beautiful! Although it came with a japanese manual, all the functions are easy and you can get the english version from the website or watch videos from Youtube (better than the manual). Everything about this watch is fantastic!! If you're thinking about buying an expensive G Shock, this is the one to buy!
