[Product introduction]
HASEGAWA 1/350 Japanese Navy A-class destroyer Yukikaze "Operation Tenichi". Reproduces the appearance of the Japanese Navy A-class destroyer Yukikaze during "Operation Tenichi-go". In April 1945, the Second Fleet was formed with the battleship Yamato, the light cruiser Hagi, and eight destroyers. Yukikaze joined the battle line along with similar ships Isokaze and Hamakaze. On the afternoon of April 6, the fleet departed from the Seto Inland Sea to rescue Okinawa. This operation, named ``Operation Ten-Ichi,'' had no aircraft support, and the chances of survival were extremely low. Yukikaze fought a fierce air defense battle with other ships, but history shows that Yamato met a tragic end. Yukikaze, as her name suggests, survived this mission and returned to Kure.
