Product introduction Hasegawa 1/48 scale "U.S. Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet" plastic model
The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is an advanced successor to the F/A-18C/D.
Added fuel tank to extend cruising range
The fuselage has been extended by 86cm, and fuel is also loaded into the vertical stabilizer.
The weight increase associated with this was compensated for by an engine with increased thrust, and the intake port was also enlarged with the engine change.
The angular parallelogram-shaped intake is one of the exterior features of this machine.
The fuselage structure has been significantly modified to increase lift by lengthening the main wings and increasing the wing area, but other than that, only some electronics and power systems have been updated, making it similar to the F/A-18C. /D has been standardized.
The kit features a suitably assembled parts structure and sharp panel line engravings.
Accessories on the underside of the main wing include tank (x4), AIM-9X (x2), Amram (x2), and target pod.
