This is KATO's completed N gauge train, D51 Hokkaido type.
This lineup allows you to enjoy the heavy details of the product designed for extreme cold climates.
D51 for extreme cold regions, known as the "Hokkaido model"
This is a product of a locomotive that was in use around 1975, just before steam locomotives were abolished.

This is a product of a locomotive that was in use around 1975, just before steam locomotives were abolished.
Equipped with a Giessle ejector (induced ventilation device), accurately reproduces the inverted trapezoidal flat chimney
Reproduces the enclosed cab and the corresponding tender front end shape, the driver's seat rotating window, and the passenger seat side H-rubber supported window.
The truncated deflector, front deck handrails, and boiler upper handrails unique to steam locomotives that were active in Hokkaido are reproduced.
Reproduces the front indicator light/tender light position different from the standard type
The body color is a solid matte black.
You can enjoy the atmosphere of the time of its active service.
Handrails are reproduced in black.
The leading and trailing wheels have missing spokes, recreating the detailed and realistic appearance.
Adopting a power unit with a flywheel enables stable driving
Snow plow included as standard (removable)
Includes a snowplow-equipped coupler for multiple-unit operation and a knuckle coupler for multiple-unit operation
