The K12 train set belonging to Katsuta Vehicle Center is now available as a product.

It reproduces the Scarlet Blossom revival paint scheme inspired by the E653 series "Fresh Hitachi" (red), which has a red plum motif.

This vehicle is ideal for running alongside trains in service at JR East, or for addition to a collection in the five colors currently being developed.

The insulators and high-voltage equipment around the pantograph, which are unique to AC/DC trains, and the train radio antenna and WiMAX antenna on the roof are reproduced.
The use of a slotless motor achieves smooth and quiet running.
The intermediate coupling section is equipped with a body-mounted KATO coupler close coupling type and a damper between the cars as standard.
The underfloor equipment, bogies, dampers between the cars, and the leading car dummy coupler are gray.
The front and side windows are made of green tinted glass, just like the actual train.
Destination display stickers are included.
