[Scale] 1/350
The "Zuikaku" at the start of the Pacific War is now available in a new 1/350 scale lineup!
This product is an unpainted kit that requires assembly and painting.
The scale is 1/350, and it is a full hull style including the bottom of the ship.
The Shokaku-class aircraft carriers were planned under the Maru 3 Plan, which was implemented at the same time as the Yamato-class battleships, and the second ship, the Zuikaku, was completed in September 1941 by Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Kobe, just before the outbreak of the Pacific War.
Together with the first ship, Shokaku, the 5th Air Squadron was formed and participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor.
The Battle of the Coral Sea was the first naval battle between aircraft carriers in history.
Due to the loss of Akagi and the other four ships, which were the mainstay of the air force, Zuikaku continued to be the core of the task force until the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944.
He was killed in the same battle by a US air attack.
(Structure and specifications) The product is an unpainted kit that requires assembly and painting.
・The scale is 1/350
(Product Features) - The modeling and shape reproduction that only a large model can offer is attractive.
・The motif is the attack on Pearl Harbor, which started the Pacific War, and the period afterwards.
- Radar and additional machine guns are not installed, so the ship can be recreated in a state close to when it was first completed.
-Unlike the 1944 version, the additional machine gun mounts at the bow and stern are not installed.
・The hull is a one-piece structure on the left and right sides.
The exterior electrical wiring installed in preparation for the ship's launch and the numerous portholes are recreated with delicate carvings.
The flight deck is a one-piece molded part, with detailed carvings of the wooden decking, anti-slip steel decking, expansion joints, etc.
The girder structure on the underside of the flight deck is made into a separate part, giving it a three-
Dimensional appearance.
- Elevators and windbreaks are available as separate parts.
The edge of the flight deck is intricately carved with a split pattern.
- The anchor chain deck and short boat deck feature intricately carved anti-slip split patterns.
The chimney is made of two parts that are glued together, with the dividing line placed in an inconspicuous position.
- The bridge air defense command post is lined with separate binocular telescope parts that add a sense of precision.
- Includes 9 aircraft, 3 each of Zero Fighter Type 21, Type 99 Carrier Bomber, and Type 97 Carrier Attack Plane, molded in transparent color
-Special etched parts are included for the anti-skid fence and arresting wire.
- Metal chain parts are included for the anchor chains at the bow and stern.
-Signal flags and naval ensigns come with paper stickers
