[Product introduction]
Comes with a gold-plated base!
The first of the Yamato-class battleships, the Yamato, was completed in December 1941 as a culmination of large ship construction techniques from the Kongo-class to the Nagato-class.
With a standard displacement of 64,000 tons and a 46-cm main gun, it was the best in the world in all respects, and it was the flagship of the Combined Fleet at last, and in the Battle of Midway it served as the flagship for Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, commander-in-chief of the main fleet.
Later, as aircraft became the main force in the battle, Yamato was modified by removing some of its secondary guns and increasing its anti-aircraft weapons.
In October 1944, it participated in Operation Sho-Ichi-Go/Leyte Gulf, and in April 1945, it set out to crush the US forces that had landed on Okinawa, but met its end after being attacked by numerous US carrier-based aircraft.
The products are designed with a snap-fit system that does not require adhesive, making this a series that stands out from conventional kits.
