This detailed model kit recreates the Kongo from its final appearance, with enhanced anti-aircraft armament during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, to its standard (STD) form.
The Zero Type-8 floatplane and searchlight are molded in clear for a realistic look.
This kit is unpainted and requires assembly and painting.

The scale is 1/700, and the bottom of the ship is not included.

This product is made using a conventional (special series) mold.

The battleship Kongo is the oldest of the 12 battleships that took part in the Pacific War, and was completed in 1913 by the British Vickers company.

With a total length of 222m and a width of 28.96m, it was equipped with eight 45-caliber 35.6cm guns, and after the second and final refit, it was a battleship characterized by its high speed, with a speed of 30.3kt.

With the outbreak of the Pacific War, the ship participated in the Indian Ocean campaign, accompanying the Southern Front and the Task Force.

During the Battle of Guadalcanal, she participated in many memorable operations, including bombarding the airfield together with the third ship, Haruna.

After participating in the Battle of Leyte Gulf (Operation Sho-Ichi-Go) in October 1944, it was sunk by a torpedo attack from a US submarine while sailing through the Taiwan Strait.
