Its superior optical performance is achieved through the strategic placement of two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lenses and one hybrid aspherical lens. The Model B070 is equipped with Tamron's proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism, which maximizes the inherent optical performance of supported lenses in both still and video shooting. Furthermore, by utilizing AI (artificial intelligence) technology, it provides compensation effects that are more sensitive to video shooting than conventional VC mechanisms. A minimum focusing distance of 0.19m at the wide-angle end delivers exceptional close-up shooting capabilities for an APS-C standard zoom lens. It achieves 0.19m at the wide-angle end and 0.39m at the telephoto end. A circular diaphragm for beautiful circular bokeh. The nine-blade circular diaphragm minimizes the appearance of the diaphragm blades in the circular bokeh when photographing point light sources, resulting in a circular image. The 9-blade circular diaphragm maintains a nearly circular shape even when stopped down two stops from maximum aperture.
