Superior optical performance: The lens construction consists of 16 elements in 12 groups. The well-balanced placement of two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) elements and one hybrid aspherical element maintains extremely high resolution across the entire frame, from the center to the edges.
Optimal VC Image Stabilization for Still and Video Shooting: Model B070 features Tamron's proprietary VC image stabilization. By combining VC with an advanced algorithm optimized for this lens and incorporating a dedicated, independent MPU (microprocessor unit), it delivers excellent compensation. This compensation effect is available whether the lens is mounted on a camera with or without in-body image stabilization.
