TAMIYA 1/700 Japanese destroyer Shikinami.
[Special destroyer that fought bravely against the Pacific Semash]
Participated in the Guadalcanal Island reinforcement operation 10 times, and also sortied in the Battle of Batavia Gulf, Operation Midway, and the Third Battle of the Solomons, September 1945. This is a plastic model assembly kit of the Shikinami, a destroyer that continued to struggle with the Pacific Semashi until it was sunk by a torpedo strike by a US submarine. Shikinami, which appeared as the second type II special-class destroyer called the innovative destroyer, has been reproduced in a style with enhanced anti-aircraft weapons. Details such as the chimney, searchlight, and antenna are also sharply finished. It would be interesting to use parts from the same type of ship Ayanami and try to remodel it to look like when it was completed in 1929.
