KATO 101838 February 2026 - March 2026 [Product Introduction] This is a KATO pre-assembled N gauge train, the 321 series JR Kyoto, Kobe, and Tozai Line Add-on Set (4 cars). This product is based on the D15 formation belonging to the Akashi Branch of the Aboshi General Rolling Stock Center. It is equipped with a Toshiba WAU708 cooler. The lightning arrester reproduces the new type seen on JR West trains in recent years. The wheelchair and stroller markings on car 1, the weak cooling car designation seen on cars 2 and 6, and the women-only car designation on car 5 are printed on the train. The intermediate coupling section uses a body-mounted KATO close-coupled type coupler (with hook). The front section features a dummy coupler, and the side markings are printed in black. Destination stickers are included with the basic set (not included with the add-on set). The 7-car bookcase can be stored with the basic set. It operates on the JR Kyoto Line, JR Kobe Line (Tokaido/Sanyo Main Line), and JR Takarazuka Line (Fukuchiyama Line). With the opening of the JR Tozai Line in 2008, it also operates on the JR Tozai Line and the Gakkentoshi Line (Katamachi Line), and through service to the Yamatoji Line (Kansai Main Line) via the Osaka Higashi Line. It is active throughout the Kansai region, featuring a different car number than previous models and equipped with a Toshiba WAU708 cooler.
