The 50 series passenger car, nicknamed the "Red Train", has been commercialized in its post-JR form, with the JR mark affixed to the OhaFu 50.

Combine it with the separately sold ED78 1st generation JR specification, EF71 1st generation JR specification, or the ED75 700 JR specification scheduled for release in February to recreate the red trains of various parts of Tohoku during the early days of the transition to JR.
