Plastic model.
[Scale] 1/700.
The "Yamato 1945" model kit, featuring a wave base that realistically depicts the battleship in motion, is now available with photo-etched parts.
The Yamato-class battleship, the first ship of its class, was completed in December 1941, representing the culmination of large-scale shipbuilding technology from the Kongo-class to the Nagato-class.
With a standard displacement of 64,000 tons and equipped with 46 cm guns as its main armament, it was world-class in every respect.
It was finally appointed as the flagship of the Combined Fleet and sortied as the flagship of the Combined Fleet Commander-in-Chief Isoroku Yamamoto during the Battle of Midway.
As aircraft became the main force in battle, the Yamato underwent modifications, including the removal of some of its secondary guns and the strengthening of its anti-aircraft armament.
In October 1944, it participated in Operation Sho-Go 1/Battle of Leyte Gulf, and in April 1945, it sortied to destroy the American forces that had landed on Okinawa at the water's edge, where it met its end after being attacked by numerous American carrier-based aircraft.
No painting required: Each part is colored with molded plastic, and some parts can be colored using stickers.

A plastic, specially molded display base for the sea surface is included, which realistically depicts the wake generated from the bow, sides, and propellers.
The hull is divided into left and right sections, separated by the waterline.

Achieving both a minimal number of parts and realistic sculpting.
