This macro lens boasts the exquisite imaging performance you expect from Leica. It meets Leica's strict performance evaluation standards, minimizing distortion, ghosting, flare, and loss of peripheral resolution. Equipped with optical image stabilization (MEGA O.I.S.), it can be used not only for macro photography but also as a standard mid-telephoto lens for a wide range of purposes, including portraits, telephoto snapshots, and landscape photography. The focus switch allows you to change the minimum focusing distance (15cm to 50cm), allowing you to select the optimal focusing distance depending on the subject.
Achieves stable, high contrast and high resolution from life size to infinity. The lens's 14-element design in 10 groups, including one aspherical lens and one ED lens, delivers stable, high contrast and high resolution across the entire shooting range, from infinity to life size macro (equivalent to 2x in 35mm format).
