[Product Introduction]
TAMIYA 1/32 Racer Mini 4WD Ray Spear (VZ chassis).
[Spear's blow that sweeps the race]
This is a plastic model assembly kit of a high-performance racer that uses shaft drive four-wheel drive. Wraith Spear is a machine designed by Kayuki Yamazaki, a hyper designer known for works such as the Decross series and Dual Ridge Jr. The clear green body features a sharp and aggressive spear design that is synchronized with a lightweight, compact, and low center of gravity form that is designed for racing. In addition, the canopy is removable and the cockpit can be rearranged to open/close. The interior of the canopy has a mechanical feel reminiscent of the cockpit of a fighter jet. The chassis uses a lightweight and compact VZ that matches the characteristics of the body. The dark silver wheels that give a sharp impression are equipped with that are hard to bounce when landing after a jump and have high cornering performance, adding even more stability to the ride. This car is attracting a lot of attention due to the chemical reaction caused by the combat-specific body, VZ chassis, and high-performance tires.
[VZ Chassis pursuing strength and expandability]
The VZ Chassis is a further refinement of the performance of the compact, lightweight, short wheelbase VS Chassis, which is popular in races. While maintaining the excellent features of the VS chassis such as small turning performance and high maintainability, the strength of the bumper, rear stay base, propeller shaft bearing, etc. has been increased. The key point is the appropriate amount of flex to absorb shock. In addition to the rear roller stay, the front bumper can also be separated. The degree of freedom in setting has also been greatly improved. The shaft bearing uses a 620 plastic bearing made of POM resin with low frictional resistance. A parts such as the chassis body and gear cover are both made of ABS resin. The gear ratio was set to 3.5:1.
[What you need to purchase separately]
2 AA batteries The concept of the body design is an evolution of an EV (electric vehicle) racing machine. The blue and white graphics are expressed with metallic stickers. The sharp and aggressive style is exactly as the name suggests. A compact rear wing is attached to the rear end of the body. A side view that clearly shows the low vehicle height. The center of gravity is low, allowing for a lightweight yet stable ride. The body is designed to be lightweight and compact to the utmost, and weighs approximately 9g, making it the lightest in its ABS resin class. The body consists of 3 parts: main body, canopy, and wing. The crystal-like texture is also eye-catching. The interior design of the canopy is reminiscent of the cockpit of a fighter jet. The “pdc_designworks” logo and carbon pattern add to the atmosphere. The details of the canopy are carved from the back side, making use of the clear molding color. The line-shaped mold that can be seen through the front creates a futuristic feel. *The canopy (above) is an example of painting with TS-71 Smoke. The main body of the chassis is white, and A parts such as the front and rear bumpers and gear cover are coordinated with yellow. The gear ratio is super fast type with 3.5:1. The 6-spoke spiral wheels, which give off a sense of speed, come standard with which are essential for increasing the completion rate.
