Product Introduction The enclosed bow, funnel integrated with the bridge, and armored aircraft carrier Taiho with its distinctive shape include new parts! The product is an unpainted kit that requires gluing and painting.

The scale is 1/700, and the offshore model does not include the bottom of the ship.

This product is made up of a conventional (special series) mold and newly designed additional parts.

The aircraft carrier Taiho was built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries according to the 1939 fiscal year plan, and was completed in March 1943 during the war.

It was an armored aircraft carrier with a different warfare philosophy from previous aircraft carriers, designed to be used as a relay point for air groups during out-of-range tactics.

Although the standard displacement was 29,300 tons, which was larger than the Shoukaku-class, the number of decks had been reduced by one due to the addition of armor, and the number of aircraft carried was reduced to 52. The funnel and bridge were integrated into one shape, and the bow was enclosed, giving the ship a distinctive appearance.

After completion, Taiho was organized into the First Carrier Squadron along with Shokaku and Zuikaku.

In June 1944, the ship participated in the Battle of the Mariana Islands, but was torpedoed by a U.S. submarine, causing an explosion due to the leakage of aviation gasoline from the ship.

This led to the sinking

The product is based on the appearance of the ship from the time of completion to the Battle of the Mariana Sea.

- The flight deck, which is the subject of various theories, is designed with a special part engraved with a wooden deck motif.

Newly designed parts are available to standardize the differences in the reproduction of equipment depending on the product release date, and some parts are divided to take painting into consideration. The No. 21 radar is represented with more delicate sculptures than previous accessory parts, such as the insulator base for fixing the element on the front side.

- The 12m internal combustion engine boat has separate parts for the canvas, wheelhouse and engine room canopy, taking painting into consideration.

Each painting is done and assembly and bonding are done later.

- The boat body and the loading floor are separate parts, and can be assembled after painting, eliminating the need for masking.

- A pair of side lights, which have not been modeled until now, are included as additional parts.

- The 9m cutter is made into two parts for painting, and the stand is available as a separate part, or you can choose to use the deck as a one-piece mold.

- The shipboard stand has a molded uneven shape and light holes, giving it a more precise appearance.

The instructions do not specify its use, and it is a replacement service part, so there is no need to mention it. The hull is a one-piece structure with both the starboard and starboard sides, so no gluing or seam removal is required.

- Parts are also included to recreate the sealed anchor chain deck, with an opening allowing you to see inside

- The portholes on the sides are carved in concave, and the eaves are carved in convex.

- The flight deck is carved with a wooden deck and is made up of parts molded in one piece from bow to stern.

The truss structure on the rear of the flight deck is depicted as a three-dimensional sculpture.

The bridge base is made using a slide mold, and is a one-piece molded part with engravings on five sides.

The funnel integrated with the bridge is made up of separate left and right parts, while the steam exhaust pipe and support columns are detailed as separate parts.

- The funnel cap is in its "detached" state, with a sense of precision.

- The bridge (air defense command post) includes binocular telescope parts for a more detailed look.

- The anti-aircraft gun mounts and machine gun mounts on the sides of the ship are made into separate parts, and the striped pattern on the floor is expressed with intricate carvings.

・One of the ship's distinctive features is the 10cm twin anti-aircraft gun, which is available as a special part for the Taiho.

- Radio antenna support, landing guidance lights, ladders, and other shipboard equipment are all made into various parts.

- The 25mm triple machine gun is precisely sculpted and comes in two parts for easy painting, with the 2018 model molded parts included as standard.

- A total of 16 aircraft from four different models used in the Battle of the Mariana Sea in June 1944 are included.

- Four A6M Zero Type 52 fighter planes are included, with the windshield and propellers being separate parts to allow for painting.

- Four A6M Zero Type 21 (bomb-loaded) aircraft are included, with the drop tanks on both wings and the 250 kg bomb under the fuselage recreated as separate parts.

- 15 aircraft are included, including 5 each of Zero Fighter Type 21, Type 99 Carrier Bomber, and Type 97 Carrier Attack Plane, molded in gray

- The molding color of the main parts, the ship's bottom plate, the aircraft carrier, the machine gun parts, etc. are molded in gray.
