[For those purchasing pre-order items]
We order products from manufacturers well in advance, but due to manufacturer circumstances, the number of items in stock may be significantly reduced. In such cases, we will sell products in order of the earliest order placed by customers, and may be forced to cancel orders once they are sold out. Please note in advance.
Release dates for models and toys are estimates announced by the manufacturer. Releases may be delayed or significantly postponed. Releases may also be canceled. Please note that we may have to cancel your order for the reasons stated above.
Items ordered at the same time will be delivered once all items are received, so they cannot be shipped individually. Pre-order items and released items must be ordered separately. Tomix 98162 Scheduled for release on February 28, 2026
[Product Introduction] Tomix's completed N gauge vehicle, JR DD51 800 Series Diesel Locomotive (Gunma Rolling Stock Center) Set (2 cars). High Grade (HG) specification 2-car set of No. 842 and No. 895. The tablet catcher has been removed from the cab, and the appearance of the tablet protection frame remaining has been newly reproduced. The base where part of the antenna on the roof has been removed and the icicle cutter remains are reproduced as separate parts. Head mark "Gunma Yokokawa, EL, DL Gunma fin" included. The center of the handrail on the front deck is reproduced in a straight shape for No. 842 and a curved shape for No. 895. H-rubber is reproduced in black. The number plate is a separate part "DD51-842, 895". The driver's seat roof of No. 842 does not have a fan cover and reproduces the appearance with a radio antenna in the center. The driver's seat roof of No. 895 has a fan cover. The handrails are reproduced in silver, recreating the appearance of a train used for imperial service. The No. 895 train radio antenna and antenna base are included as separate parts. ATS onboard sub-unit parts are included. The headlights are equipped with a constant-on circuit board and have an ON-OFF switch. The headlights are illuminated by warm-colored LEDs. Silver wheels are used to resemble the appearance of a train used for imperial service. Flywheel-equipped power unit, black bogie frame, dummy couplers, and self-coupling TN couplers are included. Both No. 842 and No. 895 use M-13 motors. [About the Actual Vehicle] The 800 series DD51s, which were introduced for freight service, were notable for not being equipped with steam heating systems. Many of the cars inherited by JR East were used at Takasaki Depot to pull freight trains on the Hachiko Line. Since the late 1990s, they have been used primarily for construction and event trains, but all cars were removed from service in November 2024, replaced by construction trains, the KiYa E195 and GV-E197. The last locomotives, No. 842 and No. 895, remained in service at Gunma Rolling Stock Center until the end, and were previously maintained for towing Imperial trains, so the silver handrails, chimney, and couplers remained in their original color until the very end.
